Cara's book covers are absolutely lovely. Besides being a Thomas Nelson author, she is also one of the fabulous Seekers of Seekerville.
What does Cara have to say about her call?
I got the call on June 22, 2009 while I was driving home from camping with my husband. But unfortunately the phone didn't ring, so I didn't know Natalie Hanemann from Thomas Nelson was calling. When I got home I immediately opened my computer and scanned my e-mails. I saw an e-mail from Natalie, but I didn't recognize her name. She put Thomas Nelson in the subject so I got the hint. She asked me to give her a call. Of course I did as soon as I stopped shaking! Since I never submitted to her I was really surprised. Her fellow editor Ami McConnell read my Golden Heart contest entry and decided to buy Love on a Dime. That's my happy ending.

I love that! Except I'm noticing a thread running along here...everyone is getting their calls in the car and missing them. ;-)
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should stop driving...LOL
ReplyDeleteNAH!
That is funny! Because I got the call while in the drive-through at Chick-Fil-A! My daughter had to explain to the kid at the window why I was boo-hooing over a large sweet tea!
ReplyDeleteHi! I think we're all spending lots of time in our cars! I have a friend who only calls me when she's driving. She calls me a lot!
ReplyDeleteLOL...This IS funny. Most of my calls take place in the car because it's the one place my children are either belted in or I'm alone. I get the most quiet time in the car driving to and from work.
ReplyDeleteMaybe someday I'll get my call this way too :-)
